GNR: New Serpa and Barrancos posts opened tomorrow.


The Minister of Internal Affairs (MAY) opens the GNR service stations in Serpa and Barrancos tomorrow, installed in the premises of the old Primary School and the fire station.

After a few months ago the works were completed, the GNR stations in Serpa will finally be officially opened (top photo) and Canyons (bottom photo), with ceremonies presided over by Eduardo Cabrita

The holder of the portfolio of the Minister of Internal Administration, will be in Serpa at 10,00 hours to inaugurate the facilities of the former Primary School, provided by the City Council and in Barrancos, a partir the 12,30 hours to “open” the village’s former fire department, building in which one part belongs to the municipality and the other to Social Security.

The public works contract for the remodeling of a building for the Territorial Post of Serpa was budgeted in 710.000.00 euros and for the Barrancos Territorial Post, had a cost of 287.500,00 euros, both plus VAT.
