Last season CFUS played in the 2nd Division District Championship and when the competition was interrupted because of the covid-19 pandemic, it was the leader of series A, having ascended to the main division.

This season the club started with a squad of 23 players, 15 of which Brazilians, also having three Colombians, in a team with an average age of less than 24 year old. Vasco Oliveira, son of António Oliveira, who in the previous two seasons trained S.C. Rio Tinto (Gondomar), it was the coach who started the season, but I would leave the club given the constant interregnum that the championship has been suffering. Ricardo Cravo, coach who has been to Cova da Piedade, Union of Montemor, Atlético and Pinhalvense, among many other clubs, is the helmsman of the Alentejo team.
