Castro Verde: Basic Emergency Service will be expanded.

The building of the Basic Emergency Service of the Castro Verde Health Center will be expanded, in a partnership between the Local Health Unit of Baixo Alentejo and the Municipality of Castro Verde.

According to the President of the ULSBA Board of Directors, Conceição Margalha, the current facilities of this Basic Emergency Service (SUB) are insufficient to respond to the population of Castro Verde municipalities, Almodovar, Ourique, Aljustrel and Mértola, num total de cerca de 40 thousand, its enlargement being very important. We have “limited physical spaces, especially in the sorting zone, waiting room, treatment room, nursing and administrative offices ”, advance.

Last day 21 October, a meeting was held in Castro Verde to analyze the possibility of expanding the current Castro Verde SUB space, who joined the ULSBA Administration, the President of the Directive Council of the Regional Health Administration of Alentejo, José Robalo and the Mayor, António José Brito.

Conceição Margalha also clarifies that, in order to achieve the referred expansion, “the Functional Program is already being developed and only later will the project to expand the SUB building in Castro Verde be carried out, with the collaboration of the Technical Services of the Municipality of Castro Verde. ”

After these procedures, there may be an estimate of the costs of the work and, of course, every effort will be made to obtain financing.
