Mértola: Young and unemployed have occupation programs.

Chamber promotes temporary occupation of young people and long term unemployed programs.

Of 20 the August to 6 September arise registration for the temporary municipal employment programs for young people and long-term unemployed, one of the City Council initiative to Mértola.

The aim is to integrate young people in the county labor context and enhance citizens by creating job opportunities in the local area.

The Municipal Occupation Program Temporary Youth has as unemployed recipients looking for their first job, or that are unemployed for more than six months, aged 18 and 30 year old, and residents in the county for more than two years. The young people selected will perform functions in different areas of the City, always supervised by a mentor.

The Municipal Occupation Program of long-term unemployed is engaged in the personal development of citizens and improving their quality of life, by creating job opportunities in the local area. The recipients are the unemployed registered at the Employment Center for over 12 months, resident in the Mértola municipality, for more than two years, and aged 31 and 65 year old.

The programs have a duration of six months, in total 50 vacancies. Applicants will be called according to the municipality's needs and profile of each.

Those interested in the program must be on the premises of the Municipality of Mértola, through form filling supplied by the Municipality.
