COVID-19: ADC to operate in Beja Health Center.


The grouping of the Lower Alentejo Health Centers has, Since Monday, day 30 March, an Area Dedicated to Covid-19, ADC-designated Community, to operate in Beja Health Center.

This ADC-Community is organized following the entry of Portugal in Pandemic Mitigation phase of Covid-19, fulfilling, so, Rule of DGS on this phase of the pandemic, to ensure the provision of health care and the implementation of public health measures appropriate.

The area dedicated to Covid-19, created in the Beja Health Center (by the Social Security), It is only intended for service users with suspected infection by the new coronavirus, referred by the NHS Line 24 or screened in Health Centers.

It is a completely separate space of care for patients who show no suspected Covid-19 and in it there is an observation room, a reception area, a waiting area and separate toilet facilities from other users.

The health team consists of medical, nurse, operational Assistant, assistant coach and a cleaning crew.

The ADC-Community Beja will work every day, the 8:00to h 20:00h.

The realization of Covid-19 test is intended for users with suspected infection by the new coronavirus, referred by the NHS Line 24 or sent by health centers. The tests are performed by prior telephone appointment, from 9h to 13h, seven days a week.
