Almost fifty participants, from seven countries, They will meet during 3 Beja days for a thorough examination of previous studies and the launch of new work on the Alentejo Poor Clare and the baroque world in which he lived.

This is an organization of researchers from the Universidade Nova de Lisboa in collaboration with the University of Massachusetts and the City of Beja, “Melancholy, Love and Letters”, where researchers, Portuguese and foreign, debate around the Sister Mariana work, whose passion remains in the center of myths gallery of Portuguese Love.

The scientific committee is composed by Philip Delfim Santos teachers, Klobucka, Parreira, Amaral de Oliveira, Maria Odete Sequeira Martins, Myriam Cyr and Lisa Bolt, as well as the priests and Cartageno Aparicio.
