Blue flag: Beja district back to take 2018, 9 beaches awarded.
In the Alentejo there 25 coastal and 4 river. District of Beja's 8 coastal, all in Odemira county and the river beach of Tapada Grande, Mina de São Domingos.
This year the Blue Flag will be flown at 332 beaches (299 coastal and 33 river), more 12 than last year.
The Alentejo will have this year 29 flags flying, including the new river beach Mourao.
The river beach of Albufeira Tapada Grande Mine of São Domingos (na photos), in Mértola, receives the award for the seventh consecutive year, having 2016 It has been awarded the certificate by 5 years Blue Flag.
The Grândola municipality is one that has more beaches the Blue Flag 10 not complete, soon followed with Odemira 8 and Sines 5.
